| If you're planning to travel
in Russia, you need a travel agent with hands-on experience
in the former Soviet Union. It's even harder if you're going
outside major cities such as Moscow and St. Petersburg. Hotels
with an English-speaking staff are few and far between; in
fact, there are many cities where train station and airport
signs are only in Russian.

Deborah J. Chapman is uniquely qualified to help you. Debbie
Chapman first visited the Soviet Union in 1970. Over the
past 30 years, she has traveled from Odessa, on the Black
Sea, to Vladivostok, on the Sea of Japan. On two separate
occasions, Debbie has lived and worked in the former Soviet
Union. From July 1973 to July 1974, she lived in Leningrad
(now St. Petersburg) and worked as a governess for an American
diplomat. She made contacts at that time that exist to this
day. From August 1992 to March 1994 Debbie lived in Kiev
and worked for UTEL, an AT&T joint venture. Again, she
established contacts that she continues to use in the travel
business.
Debbie opened UNIGLOBE Connoisseur
Travel in San Francisco in 1995 and acquired Global Travel
in 2002. As its Managing Partner, Debbie is able to put into
practice for others experiences she has gained during 30
years of world-wide corporate and personal travel. Debbie
speaks Russian fluently. She understands the needs of western
travelers venturing into the former Soviet Union whether
their purpose is business, vacation, humanitarian aid, or
some very special venture.
